«Periodika» is a photobook creation service. We help people preserve their family history in a tangible form. Our clients place around 200,000 orders annually, and our product range includes over 60 SKUs, considering different formats and page counts.
Over ten years of operation, we have accumulated a significant volume of data on orders and customer behavior. Currently, the infrastructure and part of the reporting are supported by an external analytics agency, but we need an in-house analyst – someone who will regularly work with data and transform it into solutions for product and marketing.
Responsibilities
Product and Assortment Analytics
- Analyze the launch of new photobooks and other products: determine if the launch generated additional demand or redistributed sales among existing products.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the product matrix: identify weak SKUs, duplicate items, and products that are advisable to remove from the assortment.
- Analyze sales by format, number of pages, price, discount, acquisition channel, and customer type.
- Assist the team in making decisions about launching, modifying, or discontinuing products.
- Develop a methodology for evaluating product launches and experiments.
Marketing Activities Analytics
- Correlate demand dynamics with website traffic, advertising activity, seasonality, and assortment changes.
- Analyze promotions and discount campaigns: calculate their actual effect, additional revenue, and impact on profitability.
- Compare results with previous periods and prepare recommendations: repeat the mechanic, modify it, or abandon it.
Work with Tools:
- Web and mobile analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase, Yandex.Metrica)
- Work with existing Datalens \ Datastudio dashboards
- Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data (Database in Clickhouse) for Adhoc analysis
- Collaborate with project analysts from other areas.
What We're Looking For
- At least two years of experience as a product, marketing, or web analyst.
- Strong command of SQL.
- Experience with BI systems; knowledge of DataLens will be an advantage.
- Experience and understanding of web analytics principles.
- Confident proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Understanding of product and commercial metrics: revenue, average check, repeat purchases, retention, LTV, profitability, conversion.
- Ability to independently translate a business question into an analytical task, choose a calculation method, and complete the work with recommendations.
- Ability to explain findings in simple terms: what happened, why, and what decision should be made.
Will be a Plus
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, D2C, or businesses with a wide assortment.
- Experience with CRM analytics and large customer bases.
- Python knowledge at the level of applied data analysis.
- Experience analyzing promotions, discounts, and product cannibalization.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and quasi-experimental evaluation methods.
