In Dodo Brands, they are looking for a Financial Partner for the Retail Business.
They are seeking a leader to head the group's financial analytics during a period of large-scale transformation. The goal is to move away from manual calculations in Google Sheets to a unified analytical engine based on Optimacros and a transparent, manageable financial model for the business.
This is a business partner role that keeps the economics under control, helps leaders make decisions, and sees the real reasons and consequences behind the numbers. It's important to understand that the company has about 250 P&Ls, a complex group structure, and many different businesses: IT, franchising, and own retail.
Candidate Expectations:
- At least 4 years of business experience, 2–3 years in similar roles
- Understanding of franchising business economics (or willingness to learn) and specifics of IT companies
- Proven experience with tabular models and management financial analytics is mandatory
- Ability to speak the language of business and see the reasons behind the numbers
- Product-oriented approach in their work and ability to build relationships
- Readiness for chaos and rapid changes: for example, the structure might change once a year, and if tactics aren't working, they might be revised in detail mid-year
- Willingness to be a player-coach in the team and develop subordinates
Your Responsibilities:
- Be a business partner for business leaders: not the main person for spreadsheets, but a partner who keeps economics under control, promptly signaling risks and assessing the impact on PL and CFS
- Develop the forecasting system: continue the transition from classic budgeting to rolling forecasts, what-if, and scenario analysis, work with top-down forecasts and tracking the group's long-term financial model
- Manage allocations: develop the model for allocating costs between products and businesses, explain the allocation logic to stakeholders in simple and clear terms
- Together with the HR team, form a dynamic payroll model where changes in backlogs and teams are quickly reflected in the forecast
- Automate routine tasks based on Optimacros: continuation of migration from Google Sheets for monthly c-level reports, forecasting, budgeting
- Manage and develop a team of financial business partners
