The MERLION group of companies is looking for a Financial Business Partner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organizing communication between company departments on all financial matters
- Participating in the development and decision-making in strategic/tactical/operational activities
- Organizing and managing interaction with external company departments and partners (Shared Service Center/Foreign Economic Activity, etc.)
- Analyzing financial statements (PL, CF, BS), performing factor analysis of deviations, and providing recommendations based on the results of the monthly closing period
- Analyzing unit economics in terms of departments/processes/product groups
- Ensuring efficient use of company funds and cost optimization
- Managing projects for business model formation and improvement of current business processes
- Preparing management reports for the month, quarter, and year
- Updating financial forecast scenarios on a weekly basis
- Organizing and managing the budgeting and budget control process
- Organizing and managing the strategic long-term planning process
- Building processes for financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, data processing algorithms, and methodologies for management accounting and forecasting
- Organizing automation of processes related to financial management
- Providing methodological support and training on functional issues
- Preparing analytical reports and ad-hoc requests for management
- Methodological development of regulations and internal processes of the Financial and Economic Department
- Leading a team, developing competencies, and training employees
We are looking for someone who has:
- Higher education in economics, finance, or mathematics
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial-analytical or planning-economic function in large trading, distribution, or manufacturing companies
- Experience in setting up budgeting in 1C, including preparing technical specifications and controlling implementation
- Deep knowledge of budgeting, management accounting, and financial analysis
- Proficient user of Excel, 1C, and BI systems
- Strong management skills, strategic thinking, and results orientation
- Understanding of product assortment specifics: wide SKU (hundreds of thousands of items), long tail of nomenclature; combination of fast-moving and slow-moving product groups
- Skills in analyzing inventory turnover, optimizing stock levels, and calculating logistics and warehousing costs
- Experience in building analytics on the profitability of product groups and suppliers
- Knowledge of the distribution model specifics: regional network, branches, transport and warehouse centers
- Consideration of contractual terms with suppliers (bonuses, discounts, marketing programs) and their impact on budgeting and profitability
