Vacancy: Head of Management Accounting Department

Reporting to: CEO and CFO Department size: ~15 people Revenue: 200 billion Industries: Trading, HoReCa, FMCG Location / Format: Office, Moscow

Responsibilities:

• Building, developing, and maintaining the management accounting system; methodological leadership; providing top management and owners with reliable management reporting for decision-making; managing the specialized department.

Professional Competencies:

• Deep understanding of management accounting methodology: development and updating of MA accounting policies, methods, regulations, and reference books.
• Setting up and maintaining management reporting: P&L, Cash Flow, Management Balance Sheet; consolidation (especially for group structures).
• Full cycle budgeting: P&L Budget, Cash Flow Budget, Balance Sheet Budget; plan-fact analysis, variance factor analysis.
• Cost accounting and calculation (direct costing, job/process costing), unit economics, marginal analysis.
• Building and administering the financial structure: Cost Centers, expense allocation, transfer pricing.
• Financial modeling and scenario analysis; development and cascading of KPIs.
• Understanding the link between RAS/IFRS and the transformation of data into management data.
• Experience in automating MA: 1C (ERP / UPP / KA), BI systems (Power BI and similar); participation in the implementation or development of accounting systems as a client/specifier.

Managerial Competencies:

• Leading a team of 15+ people: organizing work, hiring, development, control.
• Experience in building or re-engineering the management accounting function (from scratch or scaling/restructuring an existing one).
• Change management during the implementation of new processes and systems.
• Cross-functional interaction (operations, sales, production, accounting, IT).
• Working with stakeholders at the CEO/CFO and owner levels: preparing and defending reports, justifying decisions.

Personal Qualities:

• Systems thinking with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to explain financial information to non-financial managers.
• Proactiveness, results orientation, accountability for one's area.
• Stress resistance and ability to work with large volumes of data and deadlines.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Higher education in Economics / Finance.
• Over 10 years in management accounting / finance, with at least 3-5 years in a management position.
• Experience in companies of comparable scale and, if possible, industry.
• ACCA certification is required.
