Head of Financial Controlling at FINNTRAIL fishing gear brand
FINNTRAIL, a fishing gear brand, is looking for a Head of Financial Controlling to help the company analyze business performance through numbers, identify growth opportunities, and propose management solutions based on analytics.
Main Goals:
- Development and adaptation of the management accounting and financial controlling system
- Improvement of methodology for generating quality analytics and reporting for management decision-making
- Modernization of the methodology for budgeting and financial planning in the company
- Management of a team of financial analysts
- Automation of financial accounting
Expected Tasks:
Financial Controlling and Management Reporting:
- Development of methodology and system for management reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Preparation of analysis and presentation on the financial and economic activities of the business for company management and owners
Budgeting and Planning:
- Organization and execution of the budget cycle based on the developed methodology
- Formation of the company's consolidated budget
- Control of budget execution by functions and analysis of deviations (plan/actual) with the provision of analytical reports on deviations
Financial Analytics:
- In-depth analysis of the business's financial and economic indicators
- Analysis of the effectiveness of business lines, sales channels, product assortment, and projects
- Preparation of scenario proposals for management decision-making
Financial Modeling:
- Building financial models
- Calculation of profitability for projects and investment projects
Process Optimization:
- Development of management accounting methodology
- Participation in improving financial processes and tools
- Identification of business efficiency improvement points
- Automation of financial accounting
Required Experience and Key Competencies:
- Higher education in Economics or Finance
- Experience in financial controlling, management reporting, or financial analysis
- Deep expertise in analyzing financial and economic activities
- Ability to translate financial data into management decisions
- Experience in building financial models
- Ability to structure large data sets and present analytical results
- Presentation skills and ability to defend analytical conclusions to management
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros preferred)
- Knowledge of accounting
- Experience working with 1C
- Strong management skills (direct and indirect management)
Will be an advantage:
- Experience working in leading audit and consulting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG)
- Professional financial accounting course certification (CIMA or similar)
- Experience in implementing financial accounting automation
