Senior Lawyer

You will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive legal support for Avito's online services at all stages of implementation, in particular:
• Analyzing product initiatives for compliance with legal requirements;
• Conducting legal risk assessments and proposing mitigation solutions;
• Formulating legal positions on product-related matters;
• Developing financial and legal structures for products in close collaboration with finance and accounting teams, managing contract work;
• Preparing user documentation;
• Assessing the impact of legislative changes on the product and proposing solutions;
• Working on major projects together with product, development, marketing, and finance teams;
• Leading specific areas and projects — both intra-team and cross-functional;
• Resolving operational issues and supporting business processes in the areas you oversee;
• Auditing processes, optimizing them, and implementing changes;
• Consulting and preparing opinions on matters of civil law, digital law, and data regulation;
• Mentoring junior staff.

We expect you to:

• Have a higher legal education;
• Have at least five years of experience working in the IT sector;
• Possess deep knowledge of legislation in the field of digital services regulation and civil law;
• Have experience in building financial-legal structures and contract work;
• Understand the principles of operation of classifieds, marketplaces, and social networks;
• Take a systematic approach to work and have experience in building operational processes;
• Possess English language skills at a level not lower than Intermediate;
• Be able to handle large amounts of information in a multitasking mode;
• Be ready for new challenges and unconventional solutions;
• Be able to work in a team and support junior colleagues.
