Senior Legal Counsel for Market

We are looking for a senior lawyer to support project launches for Yandex Market. You will work with sellers and users, assessing the conditions for product implementation, storage, delivery, and payment.

What tasks await you

Supporting offers and contract work You will maintain the seller and user offers for Market up to date, develop and coordinate service contracts, works contracts, factoring contracts, agency contracts, license agreements, and contracts related to intellectual property.

Legal risk assessment You will assess the conditions for product implementation, storage, and delivery, as well as the conditions for displaying product information, seller information, and payment methods on the service. You will prepare legal opinions on contentious situations, changes in legislation and law enforcement practices, and assess the risks of liability. It is necessary to identify and minimize legal risks associated with the use of third-party intellectual property and the disposal of rights to proprietary developments.

Interaction with government bodies You will prepare responses to inquiries from government authorities regarding product placement conditions and interaction with partners, as well as protect the company's interests when claims are made by regulatory authorities.

We expect that you

• Graduated from a university with a law degree
• Have more than five years of post-graduation experience in e-commerce
• Participated in project work and handled launches from scratch
• Interacted with government bodies, including FAS, RPN, RKN
• Know the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the Law "On Protection of Competition", the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights", the Law "On Trade"
• Are proficient in English at a level sufficient for confident work with documents
• Possess a strong strategic and analytical background, multitasking skills, and stress resistance
