We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel for Yandex City Services. You will work with the legal aspects of personal data (PD) processing in one of the company's key business areas.

What tasks await you

Legal support of PD processing processes in City Services: Yandex Eda, Taxi, Delivery, and others You will conduct legal analysis of business processes and IT solutions for compliance with Russian and foreign personal data legislation, advise product managers and developers on legal issues related to PD processing at all stages of the product lifecycle, participate in the preparation and approval of contracts related to PD processing. You will train and inform company employees on the requirements of personal data legislation and internal policies, interact with Roskomnadzor and other regulators. You will need to prepare notifications and responses to inquiries, develop, update, and implement internal policies and procedures in the field of PD processing.

We expect you to

• Hold a higher legal education
• Have worked as a lawyer for at least three years, including experience with PD tasks
• Have deep knowledge of personal data legislation and by-laws, as well as their application practice
• Understand the data lifecycle in IT products and the basics of technical aspects of internet services
• Can clearly and structurally communicate legal requirements to product and technical teams
• Speak and write correctly
• Can work with a large volume of information, manage several projects simultaneously, and plan your work independently
• Can prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for employees

It will be a plus if you

• Have deep knowledge of GDPR and its application practice
• Have worked in an IT company or in consulting with a focus on IT or digital
• Hold certificates in the field of PD protection: CIPP/E, etc.
• Have a good command of English
