We protect one of Yandex's most important assets – personal data. Their efficient and secure use is critical for the operation of key services that help millions of people every day. Our mission is to provide maximum protection for every employee, partner, and user, turning security into a strategic advantage.
The team is responsible for 150+ products where data is the basis for decision-making and creating value. You will be the link between engineering teams, management, and the information security department.
Your key goal is to build transparent and effective data management processes that ensure both user protection and financial benefit for the company. This is work at the intersection of technology, business, and security.
Controlling efficiency improvement initiatives You will search for and implement new optimization methods: from developing specialized tools to reengineering the data work processes themselves. Your work will directly impact how Yandex manages its key assets.
Building data maps and monitoring systems You will create dashboards and visualization tools that show the movement and use of data across the company in real-time. This includes participating in organizing and conducting benchmarks to evaluate effectiveness.
Supporting cross-functional projects You will organize interaction between different products: from aligning priorities and resources to ensuring the achievement of target results. Your task is to ensure transparency throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Optimizing data distribution You will need to analyze key data sources and participate in developing a strategy for managing them together with the product development team. We work on tasks for which there are no ready-made solutions. And the more complex the tasks, the more interesting.
Developing a product approach to data You will participate in creating a unified data management standard at Yandex to increase efficiency and maximize value.
