The team builds efficient processes, manages carrier partners, and ensures that every customer receives their order on time and in perfect condition.
Your main goal is to create and maintain a well-oiled, reliable, and cost-effective transportation system that scales with Lavka's growing business.
What tasks await you:
- Operational management of carriers: You will be responsible for the quality of our partners' services: ensuring SLA compliance, influencing key on-time delivery metrics (OSA/ALOSA). It is important to make cooperation with carriers as transparent and effective as possible.
- Development of the dispatcher team: You will lead the work of the distribution center dispatchers: conduct training, implement motivation systems, minimize work errors, and quickly solve problems. The goal is to create a cohesive and highly motivated team.
- Budget management and cost optimization: You will analyze transportation expenses, negotiate with carriers to improve terms, and constantly seek opportunities to reduce costs. This directly impacts the achievement of planned targets and the financial efficiency of logistics.
- Quality and safety control of transportation: Your responsibility includes handling claims, auditing carriers and drivers, minimizing product loss, and ensuring full compliance of transportation with all safety standards. We care not only about the product but also about road safety.
- Analysis and prevention of incidents: You will investigate the causes of delivery disruptions, develop and implement preventive measures. Your task is to increase the reliability of the logistics chain by reducing the number of operational failures.
Requirements:
- More than five years of experience in a management position in transportation logistics (retail chain, e-commerce).
- Successfully conducted negotiations and optimized logistics costs.
- Ability to build quality and safety control processes for transportation.
- Managed a team (trained, motivated, helped to develop).
- Ability to analyze data for operational decision-making.
- Understanding of the specifics of dispatcher services and warehouse logistics.
- Proficient in Excel at an advanced level (pivot tables, complex formulas, ideally macros: this will be a plus).
