Head of International Logistics Department at VR Group of Companies
VR Group of Companies is looking for a Head of International Logistics Department.
VR Group of Companies is a diversified holding company with over 25 years of successful operation in international and domestic markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the logistics department to achieve target economic indicators
- Organize freight cost calculations for clients by the department, prepare commercial proposals. Develop/optimize existing and potential company services: develop, optimize new logistics routes and adjust existing ones
- Organize the effective operation of the department for international and intra-Russian transportation (supervise staff, compile/analyze reports, coordinate activities within the department, distribute responsibilities and set tasks, monitor plan execution)
- Define key performance indicators for employee effectiveness
- Work with contractors: shipping lines, terminals, rolling stock owners, railway, air carriers, and other service providers
- Coordinate cooperation terms, conclude contracts. Expand supplier base
- Monitor the competitive market for prices, optimize transportation costs
- Control the organization of freight transportation from client order receipt to exchange of documents for completed transportation
- Fulfill department plans, analytics and reporting (weekly, monthly, annual)
Requirements:
- Higher education (preferably in logistics, management) — desirable
- Experience in international logistics is mandatory
- Experience as Head of Logistics Department for at least 3 years in transport and forwarding companies
- Successful experience in organizing international logistics transportation is mandatory
- Excellent knowledge of the transport and logistics services market and its features, understanding of the competitive environment
- Purposefulness, ability to find optimal solutions in any situation, results orientation
- Developed negotiation and team management skills
- Management skills

- Work schedule 5/2 from 8:00/9:00 to 17:00/18:00
