The team is developing Object Storage – a solution that allows our clients to store an unlimited amount of data and access it instantly at any time of day. The service load can reach tens of thousands of requests per second, and the storage volume is tens of petabytes. The main user interaction interfaces are AWS S3 and Openstack Swift API.
We are looking for a strong leader who will manage the team and achieve our product goals together!
Key Responsibilities
- People Management: conducting 1-1 meetings, motivating and developing employees through PDP, organizing the Performance Review process within the team
- Team Management: hiring, onboarding, promotions, salary fund management, dismissals
- Technical Expertise: development (up to 30% of TL's total responsibilities), architecture design, Code Review, fostering engineering culture within the team
- Business Expertise: close collaboration with the Product Owner, cross-team communication, understanding business metrics
- Goal Setting and Long-Term Planning: Setting quarterly team goals (OKR) + Roadmap, Setting sprint goals
- Processes: Scrum Master, systematic work with technical debt and bugs
- Leadership: being a team leader, taking responsibility for team results, going beyond the team and role boundaries
What We Expect
- At least 2 years of experience as a team lead managing a cross-functional team (BE, FE, QA, UX)
- Practical experience in building team processes (Scrum / Kanban) and readiness to improve them
- 3+ years of development experience in Golang (ME+ or SE level)
- Skill in designing the architecture of complex geo-distributed systems
- Experience in hiring employees and building a team
- Experience in employee development (promotions, salary fund management, working with low performers)
- Experience in strategic (up to 1 year) and tactical (1 quarter) planning for development team work
Will Be a Plus
- Experience in designing and operating high-load services
- Experience with AWS S3
- Experience with Ceph
