Art Director at Dodo Brands
The marketing and brand design team creates designs for special projects, collaborations, new products, packaging, and much more. They pay attention to processes, learn to assess the impact of design on business, and strive to automate processes. They aim to start from emotions in design, which should be understandable to a wide audience. They think about the brand and the team in a global context, as Dodo Pizza is one of the few Russian brands that continues to expand its international presence.
The team is currently looking for an Art Director who will independently delve into the development of design and creative concepts, build interaction with other teams, and create design processes.
Requirements:
- More than three years of experience in product or at well-known studios: it is important to have experience in product and long-term brand interaction experience;
- Leadership experience: it is important to approach and think like a leader — form a team, inspire, develop, and lead designers in projects, conduct reviews;
- Experience in design solutions for 360 campaigns: special projects, promotional launches, brand collaborations, packaging, merchandise, work with photo and video production;
- Experience in design systems: ability to develop, strengthen, and package style into a design system. See a few steps ahead: what is done today will be irrelevant in a year or two;
- It is important to be able to think about the brand and product holistically, sometimes venturing into adjacent expertise/disciplines;
- Flexible adaptability to changing external business and team conditions. Withstand changes and switch focus, manage time and delegate;
- Work synchronously with other art directors and designers within and outside the team. Work cross-functionally with a strategist, creative director, copywriter, and photo lab. Ability to champion and defend an idea, negotiate and find win-win solutions in a large team on projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building design processes and forming a team of designers;
- Developing brand design: development and evolution of identity (logo, font, brand colors, character) and brand visual language (photography, typography, illustration style);
- Translating the brand into communications: brand components in marketing materials, in the design of pizzerias, and in digital products;
- Working with photographers and retouchers: setting technical specifications for shooting and retouching, controlling the shooting process;
- Leading one of the design teams;
- Engaging agencies/freelancers for project work;
- Working synchronously with other art directors and designers within and outside the team.
