International agro-trading company AGS is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to head the financial function of the group's trading company.
You will be solely responsible for your financial perimeter and work directly with the founder.
Responsibilities:
Trading Business Finance:
- Evaluate the economics of purchase and sale transactions and calculate their real profitability, including all costs: logistics, storage, financing costs, penalties, and other expenses;
- Manage the budget and P&L of the trading company, conduct plan-fact analysis;
- Plan cash needs for specific contracts and provide forecasts to group treasury;
- Assess credit risk of buyers and suppliers;
- Build and develop management accounting;
- Control the currency position on transactions and assess currency risks.
Accounting, Taxes, and Audit:
- Lead the accounting department and the chief accountant;
- Organize and control accounting and tax accounting, participate in the development of accounting methodology;
- Control export VAT and its reimbursement;
- Work with tax authorities and external auditors, conduct tax and external audits;
- Monitor the quality of primary documents and timely closing of reporting periods;
- Be responsible for transfer pricing between the group's legal entities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in international raw material trading: grains, oilseeds, legumes, or other commodities, will be a plus;
- Experience working with Russian and foreign counterparties;
- Ability to analyze a transaction and understand its real margin beyond purchase and sale prices;
- Experience managing a financial function, including working with the chief accountant;
- Proven experience with export operations and VAT refunds;
- Experience undergoing tax and external audits under personal responsibility;
- Understanding of how to manage currency risk and control the currency position on transactions;
- English B2 level.
Conditions:
- First 3–6 months working in the Rostov-on-Don office, then remotely with business trips;
- Income from 600,000 ₽, final terms are discussed individually based on the candidate's experience and level;
- Employment according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation or in another convenient format;
- Independence in decision-making and direct work with the founder.
