Our team develops a proprietary DBMS based on open source PostgreSQL, taking into account increased requirements for the security of stored information, reliability, availability, and ease of maintenance. In addition to the DBMS itself, we develop tools for product deployment and update, a graphical DBMS management console, a backup system, as well as a rich set of various utilities and extensions.
The product is the target DBMS of Sber with over 50,000 active installations.
Responsibilities

- providing 3rd line support for the proprietary DBMS implemented based on the vanilla version of PostgreSQL
- analyzing root causes of incidents using diagnostic information from clients
- working with DBMS defects, reproducing cases, and finding workarounds
- setting tasks for development
- participating in DBMS development
- supporting migration projects from Oracle and MSSQL to PostgreSQL
- developing and maintaining technical documentation.
Requirements
Requirements
- knowledge of PostgreSQL DBMS architecture
- knowledge of principles for optimizing DB instance and OS parameters and query optimization
- experience in solving PostgreSQL performance issues
- knowledge of fault tolerance and high availability technologies built on PostgreSQL
- knowledge of principles for working with database extensions, skills in installing, maintaining, and updating the DBMS version
- knowledge of Linux to the extent necessary for performing DBA tasks
- instrumental proficiency in AI for analysis, generation, and automation.
Will be a plus
- skills in working with etcd, Patroni, PgBouncer, HAProxy
- experience in Linux administration
- experience with Oracle
- experience working in a bank or financial organization
- experience with high-load systems.
