Technical Product Manager for IDP
We are building an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) — a unified PaaS platform for all Yandex businesses, which helps interact with infrastructure more efficiently and accelerates product development and operations. The platform integrates key services such as a service and component catalog, a platform orchestrator, and reliability monitoring tools, providing engineers with a single interface and unified approaches to managing their infrastructure.
We are currently actively building the second maturity stage of the platform, adding new capabilities for our users. Our goal is to increase the audience from the current 15–20% to 80–90% of all company engineers (over 15,000 people) within two years, while simultaneously consolidating the best internal tools from individual business units that can be generalized and provided to the entire company.
You will, among other things, define the development strategy for the IDP to make it an indispensable tool for the entire Yandex ecosystem, directly impacting the efficiency of thousands of developers.
Our team is a group of engineers and product specialists who believe that the right tools can make development an inspiring process. We hold a unique position within Yandex Infrastructure: we are creating a critically important product for the entire company while operating with the agility of a startup. We have a clear long-term development plan for the platform and combine its implementation with rapid experiments.

Developing product strategy and roadmap You will determine which functions and capabilities are critical for transitioning the platform to a new level of maturity. Your task is to analyze team needs, form a vision, and prioritize the development of components such as the orchestrator, application and resource catalogs to deliver maximum value.
Growth of adoption and work with the audience Your key mission is to make IDP the de facto standard for Yandex engineers. You will develop and implement a strategy for transitioning teams to the platform, analyze usage metrics, and constantly seek growth points so that by 2027, the absolute majority of developers will be using the platform.
Consolidation of internal tools Some large product teams already have their own successful, but localized automation solutions. You will need to identify these best practices, integrate them into the corporate-wide IDP, and convince business units to abandon their own support in favor of a centralized, more powerful platform.
Establishing processes and working with stakeholders You will constantly interact with user teams, conducting custdev and gathering feedback, as well as negotiate with leaders from various domains about consolidating tools, building long-term partnerships, and transitioning them to Yandex infrastructure standards.
