Senior Technical Product Manager for IDM
IDM (Identity Manager) is a high-load employee role management platform, critical for the operation of 130,000+ users and 1,000+ internal systems at Yandex. With it, employees request roles in any internal systems, get approvals, after which the platform automatically grants access. New systems are connected independently, flexibly configure role models and approval rules, and build automations around the platform.
IDM is: * Global scale. We process 300,000 roles per day, store tens of millions of active roles, and connect 40+ new systems monthly. You will influence key processes used daily by tens of thousands of employees. * Product approach. We work through measurable product goals: define focus areas, build metrics (e.g., role assignment speed, reliability of approval processes, integration quality) and implement projects that most quickly lead to achieving goals. * Teamwork. We have a strong cross-functional team: development, analytics, UX, technical writers, support. We jointly form solutions, share experience, discuss risks, and help each other. * Modern stack and approaches. We are transitioning to a microservices architecture (Go, Java), actively developing platform services, improving system fault tolerance, and manageability.
Development of product solutions You will need to identify problematic areas of the platform, communicate with users, analyze data, develop metrics, formulate hypotheses, and test them. You will set the direction of development and create clear user stories for the development team.
Project management You will lead projects from idea to implementation and achievement of product and technical success indicators. These can be projects for integrating new systems, architectural improvements, increasing fault tolerance, or optimizing critical role assignment scenarios.
Interaction with stakeholders You will work with stakeholders, align roadmaps, define priorities, and ensure transparency of progress. You will interact with development, UX, analytics, support, and teams of other services that IDM depends on.
UX improvement Together with UX specialists, you will need to identify areas for improvement, analyze usage data, optimize key user scenarios, and participate in conducting qualitative research.
