About the Role
Forbes Media is looking for an ambitious Account Manager with a proven track record of developing client relationships based on a deep understanding of clients' short-term and long-term strategies and high-level goals.
How it Works:
- Once an Integrated Sales Lead closes a deal, the Account Manager takes over the client relationship. You become the primary point of contact for the duration of the partnership, helping the client achieve their goals and representing Forbes in all non-technical support interactions.
- Internal teams (program managers, content leads, ad ops analysts, etc.) handle the execution of specific campaigns. Your role is to understand how each individual campaign fits into the overall account strategy.
- You will report to the Executive Director, Strategic Partnerships & Account Management.
- Work format: Hybrid – requires regular presence in the Jersey City office.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Program Management
Manage client relationships, expectations, and long-term multi-platform programs, leveraging knowledge of various media channels.
Build and maintain deep relationships with current and prospective clients, providing exceptional support.
Internal Coordination
Effectively collaborate with Sales Directors, Sales Planners, and other support teams for seamless campaign execution and strong results.
Client Communication
Lead client calls and email correspondence.
Develop client-facing materials for post-sale meetings and calls: detailed agendas, campaign reports, wrap-up reviews, proactive sales opportunities, and renewal concepts.
Forbes Product Expertise
Possess a deep understanding of Forbes' product suite: Forbes.com, Forbes Magazine, BrandVoice native advertising platform, ForbesLive events.
Be able to articulate their value and ability to achieve client objectives.
Account Growth
Identify opportunities for strategic upsell and account growth.
Organization and Presentation
Demonstrate outstanding organizational, preparation, and public speaking skills.
Ideal Candidate
Experience
- 3-5 years of media experience.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
Professional Skills
- Ability to think and plan strategically.
- Knowledge of a wide range of advertising concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with face-to-face client interaction and comfort in handling complex negotiations.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS).
Conditions and Important Details
- Work format: Hybrid – regular presence in the Jersey City, NJ office.
