Analyst for Promo Mechanics Optimization at Lavka
Yandex Lavka is a major player in the market for grocery and household goods delivery. We have ambitious growth plans, including through deep personalization of the user experience and promo mechanics.
The Lavka analytics team is looking for an analyst-developer who can see causal relationships behind hypotheses and see the impact on unit economics behind a 20% discount.
Promo Budget Optimization Lavka features many promo mechanics: various discounts, promo codes, and game mechanics aimed at diverse user segments. Each of these mechanics has its own potential to impact revenue and the business's unit economics. It is important for the business to have a good grasp of the mechanics and correctly redistribute the budget among them. This requires an accurate understanding of the monetary effects generated by each mechanic—both costs and incremental revenue. You will help the business choose the right mechanics and participate in shaping the company's promotional strategy.
Newcomer Discount One of the key business questions is attracting new users. And one of the factors most influencing acquisition is the size of the bonus given to a newcomer. Together with the acquisition team, you will configure the optimal newcomer discount depending on the required acquisition volumes, budget size, and Lavka's regional specifics. The discount can be personalized—meaning we can optimize it at an even deeper level. You will need to select heuristics, build uplift models, and propose new approaches for highlighting discounts in the product.
Personalization in Categories Bold plans for Lavka's growth are supported by the development of new sub-products and categories: the large supermarket, hot food, and delivery scenarios from pharmacies and other stores along the way to the user. We want to promote new scenarios among users, and for this, we need to understand which one is most relevant to whom, which communication and promo code will optimally engage users, and also answer questions about scenario cannibalization and impact on the overall Lavka economics.
