SRE at Eda

Our team is responsible for the reliability of foodtech services. We are constantly improving technologies to make services better, more stable, and more convenient. In solving tasks, we rely on SRE approaches. This helps us work with hundreds of microservices and databases. We love modern, cutting-edge technologies and approaches, and we strive to write a lot of code as part of our daily tasks.

We are looking for an SRE who will help us maintain service reliability at a high level.

What tasks await you

Tasks related to architecture and processes Improve architecture and implement new solutions — design architecture from scratch. Immerse yourself in the development and operation processes of applications for different platforms. Set up automation processes and improve the performance of the entire system.

Infrastructure tasks and monitoring Participate in the development of foodtech service infrastructure. Analyze incidents, participate in problem resolution. Engage in monitoring, optimization, and overall system support.

Scaling Launch the service in CIS countries and on other continents. Adapt services for launching in external clouds.

We expect that you

• Are proficient with Linux systems (we use Ubuntu) and their diagnostic tools
• Have worked with web servers and load balancers
• Understand how IP, TCP, HTTP work, and know how to diagnose and solve network problems
• Have experience with diagnostics: interpreting output from ps, top, strace, perf, tcpdump
• Know how and like to automate routine operations
• Understand why and how to organize monitoring at all levels
• Are capable of learning and willing to share experience, easily find common ground with people
• Know not only how to solve problems but also how to find their root causes
• Possess healthy perfectionism and want to make the world a little (or a lot) better

Will be a plus

• Program in Python or Go
• Know how to build a fault-tolerant scalable service
• Have worked with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB) under load, have experience with their replication, backup, and profiling
• Know configuration management systems Terraform and Ansible
