MGTS, a major Moscow telecom company, is seeking a Director of the Convergent Transport Network Department
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's strategy for transport network infrastructure development
- Organize and control the full cycle of design, construction, and modernization of the transport network in Moscow and the Moscow region, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project documentation
- Formulate plans for transport network infrastructure development
- Implement large-scale projects for introducing innovative solutions to the transport network, as well as projects for integrating RAN technologies and various network platforms into the transport network
- Create an investment planning registry and defend projects at investment committees
- Implement digital solutions and artificial intelligence technologies to optimize processes
Candidate Profile:
- Higher technical education in a relevant field
- At least 10 years of experience in the telecom industry
- At least 5 years in a managerial position in the development/operation of transport networks
- Experience in strategic management and development of complex transport network infrastructure
- Experience managing large projects from architecture design to commercial launch
- Ability to form, motivate, and develop large teams of specialists. Willingness to take responsibility for complex and large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of automated design and network management systems
- Knowledge of regulatory and technical documentation in the field of telecommunications and telecommunication network construction, as well as knowledge of all stages of fiber-optic line (VOLS) construction and active transport network equipment
- Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS)
- Knowledge of the main equipment lines from leading telecom vendors, understanding the features and capabilities of various solutions (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia)
- Experience with load balancing and Quality of Service (QoS, traffic engineering) technologies
- Solid knowledge of the operating principles of equipment: xPON, BRAS, DWDM, РРЛ (Radio Relay Link), IP/MPLS, synchronization equipment
