Our client is one of the notable players in the agricultural market with strong expertise in distribution and agronomic customer support. Today, the company is actively developing its own production, forming a modern production site in the Central Chernozem region. The project is in a stage of growth and scaling — this is not a "factory with an established system", but a living environment where processes are still being formed.
We are looking for a Plant Director — a key manager who will take full responsibility for the operational management of the production site. This is a role about managing real production here and now: through people, processes, and daily decisions. Important: this is not a desk job, but a role for someone who is ready to work "in the field" and delve deeply into operational processes.
Key Tasks:
- Operational Management:
- Ensuring stable and uninterrupted operation of the production site
- Management of all plant functions: production, warehouse, logistics, administrative and хозяйственное обеспечение (AHO), technical services
- Control of production plans, deadlines, and quality compliance
- Economics and Efficiency:
- Site budget management and cost control
- Increasing productivity and operational efficiency
- Addressing bottlenecks, prompt process adjustment
- Team:
- Management of the production team
- Establishing a clear system of responsibility and discipline
- Development of middle managers
- Working through personal presence, dialogue, and authority
- Interaction:
- Direct interaction with owners and the top team
- Working with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
- In Perspective (role development area):
- Implementation of efficiency improvement tools (Lean, 5S, Kaizen elements)
- Process standardization and maturity improvement
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing a production site / plant
- Understands the real "life of production" and can work in an imperfect system
- Knows how to build rapport with production personnel: listen, negotiate, maintain work discipline
- Possesses strong operational acumen and common sense
- Is curious, engaged, and not afraid to delve deeply into processes
- In terms of style — a dynamic, involved, non-desk manager
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools will be a plus.
