Hello! This is the team from the Foxford online school.
Foxford is a product EdTech company. We are among the top 3 largest EdTech companies in our segment, holding leading positions in the market and already having 5 million active users. We have our own product development, an office in Moscow, and over 1300 employees on staff.
For 17 years, we have been creating products in the children's online education market, and according to the results of 2024, we are the company ranking first in the children's EdTech market by revenue. For the third time, we have become №1 in the "Science and Education" category.
We have a complex product that solves a wide range of tasks for students, their parents, and teachers. Online classes are held on our own learning platform in individual and group formats, as well as webinars. Teachers use special learning mechanics and technologies — a virtual whiteboard, interactive tasks and polls, task selections to develop specific skills.

What the DevOps Team Does
We are responsible for the stable and secure operation of the infrastructure, including dozens of microservices and internal services. Tasks include:
- operation and development of the Kubernetes cluster;
- infrastructure automation via GitOps, Terraform, Ansible;
- support for a hybrid environment (cloud + hardware);
- improvement of CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting;
- ensuring fault tolerance and security within integrations.
Recently, we have been paying a lot of attention to self-service and security: we have implemented centralized Ansible execution, introduced Kyverno, and are actively covering our practices with policies.
How We Work
- We use Kanban — no sprints, we release 5–10 features per day from different teams;
- Communication: daily stand-ups at 11:00 AM MSK, 1-on-1s can be arranged if needed;
- Currently, there are 2 DevOps engineers on the team: we are looking for proactive and mature professionals ready to influence decisions — we want to double the team size;
- There are no on-call duties, but it's important to be available in case of incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- develop and improve the infrastructure based on Kubernetes – from architecture design to automating routine operations;
- configure the infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible – to ensure changes are transparent, manageable, and repeatable;
- work on stable and predictable code delivery – build and improve CI/CD processes, implement new tools and approaches;
- ensure system observability – configure metric collection, logs, and alerts so that problems are identified even before users notice them;
- interact with other members of the development team – help deploy services, scale them, and share DevOps practices.
What We're Looking For in a Candidate
- 5-6 years of experience using Kubernetes in production and understanding its operating principles;
- extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu);
- understanding of server hardware, networks, etc.;
- active use of GitOps and IaC practices in work;
- solid experience with PostgreSQL is required;
- experience in automating server configuration and management processes (Ansible);
- experience in projects with high loads will be a significant plus.
Experience and willingness to continue working with Russian cloud providers will be a plus.
Why It's Great Here
- market-rate salary + annual review based on performance review results;
- choose your preferred work format — we are okay with full remote (within Russia) and would be happy to meet at our office near Tulskaya metro station (Moscow);
- flexible start to the day: results are what matter most to us;
- we provide Macbook Pros;
- health and well-being: VHI with dental care, corporate psychologist, sick leave compensation, online training. And if you catch a cold — we'll send you a vitamin box :)
- development: language learning through corporate courses, discounts on Foxford products, access to an online library, and compensation for external training;
- we are accredited as an IT company and will help you get benefits;
- official employment (transparent salary, paid leave).
