Remote Vacancy.
Cosmetics brand MAREE is looking for a Head of Visual Conversion, who will lead the creative CRO direction: coming up with visual hypotheses to test, how products should look in listings, and what solutions truly help sell more.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for how products look on Amazon and which visual solutions are tested.
- You will need to analyze competitors, look at packaging, main images, secondary images, visual accents, text on images, and find ideas that can improve CTR, CR, and sales.
- You will assign tasks to designers: not just "make it beautiful," but explain which hypothesis is being tested, what exactly they want to change, and what result they expect.
- Speed is important. A good idea should not lie in discussions for months. You need to quickly assemble a hypothesis, set a brief, get the creative, launch the test, and look at the results.
- You will also analyze A/B tests together with the data team: what worked, what didn't, why one image won over another, and what conclusions to take forward.
- A separate important part is working with American customers. You will need to conduct customer development and focus groups: find out how people choose beauty products, where they look first, what inspires trust, what catches their eye, and what remains unnoticed.
What is important:
- We don't need someone who just loves pretty pictures.
- We need someone who loves visuals but thinks in business terms. Someone who understands that design in e-commerce should not only be liked but also work: attract attention, explain product value, build trust, and help the buyer make a decision.
- It would be great if you have already worked with designers: assigned tasks, provided feedback, explained what exactly needs to be improved, and brought visuals to fruition.
- It is important to understand how A/B tests, hypotheses, and metrics work. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you need to confidently read results, understand CTR, CR, sales, and make decisions not only based on "I like it/I don't like it."
- Management experience is also important. This is a Head of Department role: you will need to build a team, hire people, assign tasks, maintain momentum, and be responsible for the results.
- English is required at B2 level or higher: you will work with the American audience, participate in research, and understand how customers formulate their thoughts about the product.
You are especially suitable if:
- You notice details in the packaging, product listings, advertisements, and competitor visuals.
- You are interested in understanding why one product makes you want to buy it, and another doesn't.
- You can argue about design not on the level of "beautiful/not beautiful," but through logic: what the buyer will see, understand, feel, and do.
- You prefer testing ideas rather than discussing them endlessly in a vacuum.
- You like it when creativity is linked to numbers and you can see the real results of your work.
- You want not just to complete tasks, but to build a department that will influence business growth.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in Amazon, marketplace, DTC, beauty, FMCG, product marketing, performance creative, creative strategy, CRO, or e-commerce.
- Experience managing designers or a creative team.
- Experience working with visuals that directly influenced sales: product listings, landing pages, packaging, ad creatives, product pages.
Why this role might be interesting:
- This is an opportunity to build a department almost from scratch.
- You will not have the task of "maintaining the old process." On the contrary, you will need to create a system: how hypotheses are generated, how visuals are tested, how decisions are made, how knowledge is collected, and how successful approaches are scaled.
- Here, creativity is directly linked to money.
- Every strong hypothesis can affect clicks, conversions, and sales.
- There is a lot of freedom here.
- There are no five levels of approval where an idea dies in correspondence. If a hypothesis is strong, it can be quickly brought to testing.
- You can build your own team here.
- Hire designers and CRO managers, set up processes, set KPIs, and grow the department along with the results.
- And the market here is very dynamic.
- Working with American customers, real products, and real competition. This is not marketing "for presentations," but work where every visual choice can be tested in battle.
Conditions:
- Fully remote work from anywhere in the world.
- Full-time employment.
- Direct interaction with top management and high decision-making speed.
- Competitive compensation, discussed individually with final candidates. The level depends on experience, management maturity, and the scale of tasks the person can take on.
- Your own area of responsibility, team, and budget for department development.
- Access to data, in-house Amazon expertise, research, focus groups, and testing tools.
- At the start, you will be helped to immerse yourself in the specifics of Amazon and the American beauty market. Deep knowledge of Amazon is not required. Marketing mindset, visual awareness, people management skills, and the desire to build a strong department that truly influences the business are more important.
