Data Director for a Large Manufacturing Company
A large manufacturing company (with a sales focus on marketplaces) is looking for a Data Director.
Role Objective:
- Establishing a data management system within the company;
- Providing business units with high-quality analytics for sales management;
- Digital transformation of data-related operations.
Experience Requirements:
- Leadership experience in data analysis / BI - from 3 years in a modern FMCG, DIY, retail company or marketplaces in categories: food, non-food, fashion, retail, home and repair goods, home appliances, pet supplies, dietary supplements, or others oriented towards the end customer;
- Experience with ETL tools and orchestrators (Airflow), understanding of corporate data warehouse (DWH) architecture;
- Mandatory experience in marketplace sales analytics (Wildberries, Ozon, etc.), including analysis of dynamics, margins, assortment, and channel effectiveness;
- Use of AI for data work, understanding the conditions for applying various AI models;
- Excellent project management skills: prioritization, deadline control, variability of approaches;
- Important: ability to clearly visualize data, formulate conclusions, and present them to the business at the TOP management level;
- Ability to work in a high-speed and multitasking environment.
Responsibilities:
- Sales analytics: analysis of dynamics, assortment, and channel effectiveness;
- Market and competitive environment analysis;
- Automation of reporting and analytical processes (including using BI tools);
- Generation of regular and ad-hoc reports on key business areas;
- Building a system for collecting, storing, and managing data from internal and external sources (API);
- Organizing the sales planning process;
- Participation in automation projects: setting tasks for IT regarding data extraction and integration, especially in conjunction with 1C;
- Formulation and defense of strategic initiatives based on data: from idea to justification at the management level;
- Managing a team of data engineers, data analysts, and BI analysts: planning, task distribution, employee development.
