A full-cycle biopharmaceutical company BIOCAD is looking for a Director of Financial Planning and Control Department.
BIOCAD is a full-cycle pharmaceutical company, ranking among the TOP-3 pharmaceutical companies in Russia according to Forbes. The company develops and manufactures original biological drugs, creating every third oncology medicine in the country.
The Financial Planning and Control Department is responsible for the formation of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support the company's strategic decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Planning and Forecasting:
- Management of the full cycle: budget → forecast → actuals
- Factor analysis of deviations and management recommendations
- Methodology for allocating revenues and expenses between products and divisions
Cost of Goods Sold and Profitability:
- COGS controlling: standards, calculations, cost allocation
- Analysis of COGS structure and the impact of changes in formulations, packaging, and suppliers
- Profitability analysis by channel, SKU, and category
- Preparation of data for pricing and assortment decisions
Management Reporting and Modeling:
- Monthly reporting for top management and shareholders: P&L, CF, BS with production metrics
- Financial models for investment projects and strategic decisions
- Scenario analysis: base / upside / downside
Strategy and EBITDA Support:
- EBITDA growth initiatives: financial assessment and modeling
- Participation in the evaluation of M&A opportunities: modeling, due diligence, risk assessment
Automation and Audit:
- Automation of accounting and reporting in ERP (SAP) and BI dashboards
- Annual audit participation with the accounting and treasury team
Cross-functional Interaction:
- Collaboration with budget holders and business line leaders
- Interaction with the IT team for automation and data integration
- Presentations of financial results to the CEO and shareholders
Team Management:
- Leadership of a department of 8 employees: task assignment, quality control, training, and development
- Fostering a culture of analytical thinking and responsibility for results
What we are looking for:
- Higher education in Economics/Finance and at least 7 years of successful experience in the financial field, including management accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial position (Head of Department/Division).
- Expertise in manufacturing companies (pharma, FMCG, food, chemical) with an understanding of cost structure, standards, calculations, production metrics, and their financial reflection.
- Proficiency in IFRS, consolidation principles, and their practical application.
- Strong command of Excel (models, scenarios, deviations), BI systems, and ERP (SAP).
- English proficiency at B1–B2 level, enabling work with international reporting and communications.
Will be an advantage:
- Additional education: MBA, ACCA, CIMA, DipIFR
- Certifications in financial analysis and management (CFA, CIMA)
- Experience in M&A projects, production scaling
- Experience in automating reporting processes and implementing management dashboards
- Experience in an international company with export activities
