And we are looking for an experienced MySQL DBA to join our team, who will help us ensure high performance, availability, and security of our databases.
Key stack: PHP 8, Symfony 5, MySQL, ClickHouse, Redis, Git.
Candidate Expectations
- At least 3 years of experience as a MySQL DBA;
- Knowledge of database performance optimization principles and methods.
- Experience with MySQL replication and its setup;
- Understanding of basic principles of building secure systems and data protection methods;
- Ability to work with version control systems (e.g., Git);
- Experience with cloud services will be considered an advantage;
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
What needs to be done:
- Ensure high availability and reliability of MySQL databases.
- Monitor system performance and optimize queries for maximum efficiency;
- Prepare new Vitess clusters and operate current ones.
- Plan and prepare for database migrations;
- Plan and perform regular data backups, as well as their recovery if necessary;
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including configurations, backup and recovery procedures;
- Interact with developers to optimize data schemas, queries, and indexes;
- Ensure database security, including access management, encryption, and firewall configuration.
