Candidate requirements:
- Higher/secondary economic education
- Work experience: from 3 to 6 years in the DIY or building materials sales sector
- Software knowledge: 1C (ERP), proficient in "Purchases", "Warehouse", and "Sales" modules, Advanced Excel
- Product knowledge: you must understand the technical characteristics of goods (corrugated metal sheets, bitumen shingles, metal tiles, facade panels, siding, flashing, drainage systems, roof ventilation). It is important to understand the differences in coatings, metal thickness, and installation specifics in order to form a balanced product matrix
- Assortment management: experience in conducting ABC/XYZ analysis, forming a product matrix (from economy to premium segments) and working with obsolete stock
- Supplier management: experience in finding manufacturing plants, negotiating better terms (retro bonuses, payment deferrals) and planning supplies
- Analytics and KPI: ability to work with turnover, margin, stock turnover, and inventory level indicators
- Pricing: understanding the principles of competitor monitoring and setting flexible pricing policies under the seasonality of the construction market
Responsibilities:
- Product matrix formation and management
- Product portfolio development: selecting the optimal combination of brands and products
- Product introduction and withdrawal: analysis of market novelties and timely disposal of slow-moving goods (obsolete stock)
- Private Label Development (PL): searching for plants to produce products under the company's brand
- Working with inventory turnover
- Working with suppliers and procurement
- Sourcing: selecting reliable manufacturers and distributors
- Negotiation campaigns: agreeing on prices, payment terms (deferrals), volumes, and delivery schedules
- Improvement of commercial terms: obtaining retro bonuses, marketing funds, and special prices for large projects
- Supply chain control: monitoring production deadlines, especially during the "high season" (May-October)
- Contract work, work with financial guarantees
- Pricing and analytics
- Competitor monitoring: regular analysis of prices in DIY chains and specialized roofing companies
- Profitability management: setting retail prices and discount thresholds for project sales
- KPI analysis: daily monitoring of revenue, gross profit, turnover, and margin levels by category
- Promotion and merchandising
- Promotion development: planning seasonal sales
- Staff training: conducting seminars for the sales department on the technical features of new roofing and facade materials
- Interaction with sales, marketing, and logistics departments
