iCover, an electronics accessories retailer, is seeking a Project Management Office Lead.
Responsibilities:
Launching the company's representative office in China:
- Organizing the work of the new office;
- Implementing all processes developed in Russia;
- Creating local infrastructure;
- Organizing interaction between Russia and China;
- Participating in the establishment of a legal entity in the future.
Representing the company's interests:
- Conducting negotiations with factory owners;
- Representing the company's position;
- Building long-term relationships;
- Negotiating directly with decision-makers;
- Resolving disputes.
Quality control is one of the key tasks:
- Organizing a quality control system;
- Monitoring production;
- Preventing the release of defective products;
- Implementing intermediate production control;
- Controlling raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods;
- Preventing the shipment of substandard goods.
Product development (not independent development):
- Explaining product concepts to Chinese manufacturers;
- Translating meaning, not just words;
- Helping factories correctly understand the company's requirements;
- Conducting initial sample selection;
- Accelerating the development cycle.
Working with suppliers.
Managing Chinese employees (2 people).
Requirements:
- Higher education;
- Fluent Chinese (ability to negotiate; discuss commercial issues; persuade; communicate with business owners);
- Experience in procurement in China;
- Understanding of the specifics of working with Chinese suppliers;
- Experience in negotiations with Chinese manufacturers (directly with factory owners);
- Experience with private label (СТМ);
- Experience in launching private label brands, developing new products, and interacting with factories during private label production;
- Project launch experience;
- High level of independence, initiative, and responsibility;
- Team management experience.
