Business Development Manager (BDM/BizDev)
We are the Raft team, experts in implementing solutions based on generative AI. We help businesses create and develop effective AI solutions, including open-source and vendor technologies. We rely on a product approach and ensure the digitization of value from implementation, which allows our clients and partners to scale effects and strengthen competitive advantages.
We are currently expanding our team and are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for finding new opportunities, developing partnerships, and strengthening the company's market position.
Responsibilities:
- Searching for and attracting new clients from the Large and Largest business segments for the implementation of Generative AI (e-mail, calls, messengers, meetings, conferences).
- Processing incoming requests: from the first contact to closing the deal.
- Negotiating with top managers of the Large and Largest business segments (C- and C1-level), as well as LOBs to identify needs.
- Preparing commercial proposals with an emphasis on implementation complexity, business effect, and ROI.
- Managing the sales funnel in CRM at all stages of the deal.
- Analyzing KPIs (conversion, deal closing time, profitability) and optimizing processes.
- Closing deals: agreeing on terms, overseeing the contract signing process, controlling implementation timelines.
- Long-term development of client relationships, consultations on scaling solutions.
- Interaction with partners (integrators, consulting, technology partners) and participation in industry events.
We expect from the candidate:
- Successful experience in complex B2B sales for 5+ years, preferably in AI/ML, Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS.
- Willingness to take responsibility for the result.
- Ability to make quick decisions in conditions of uncertainty, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of Generative AI principles (advantages, limitations, application areas).
- Understanding of the full cycle of selling technological projects and the ability to conduct initial demos/PoCs together with the technical team.
- Knowledge of client specifics in industries (finance, retail, manufacturing, telecom, medicine).
- Convincing negotiation and presentation skills (online and offline).
- Fluent oral and written communication, ability to convey complex technical ideas in simple language.
- Proficiency in CRM systems.
- Skill in working with sales metrics (ROI, profitability, conversion, deal closing time).
- Experience in selling or implementing Gen AI projects (will be an advantage).
- Higher education (technical and/or economic) will be an advantage.
