Transit transportation company is looking for a Director of Procurement Department.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of procurement strategy with a focus on reducing the cost of services and company operations — auto enterprises, fleet, warehouses, and office
- Management of the total procurement budget (CAPEX and OPEX) and its optimization
- Systemic management of cost of goods sold through procurement tools
- Reduction of total cost for key categories
- Optimization and centralization of procurement processes
- Conducting strategic negotiations with suppliers and achieving the best commercial terms
- Development of long-term partnerships with key suppliers
- Implementation and development of digital tools, including cost analytics
- Ensuring procurement transparency and control over procedure compliance, close interaction with operational and financial blocks
- Formation, development, and management of the procurement team
Candidate Expectations:
- Higher education (economics, finance)
- At least 15 years of experience in procurement, including at least 7 years in management positions
- Mandatory experience in managing the cost of goods sold through the procurement function
- Proven cases of cost reduction and efficiency increase (impact on EBITDA)
- Deep understanding of the cost structure in the transport and logistics business, experience in cost analytics
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with major suppliers
- Experience managing teams of 20+ employees
- Developed leadership and strategic competencies
Will be an advantage:
- Experience in building a cost management/cost control function
- Experience in implementing should-cost analysis, budgeting, and cost control tools
- Experience working in large companies
- Knowledge of procurement specifics: rolling stock, fuel and lubricants, repair and maintenance, IT, infrastructure
- Experience working under sanctions and import substitution
