Why is the marketing department team unwilling to work with remote marketers?

• At first, I thought working in the middle of nowhere was crap because it's far from Moscow and civilization, it would completely change my usual way of life, plus it's like a real work rotation, I'd rarely see my spouse. No grocery stores, no chain stores, no restaurants within walking distance, 90% of why I moved to Moscow – went to hell. After working, you realize that to do marketing at the level we do at MDI – you need to be there 100%. It's closer contact with the product, the team (not just marketing), faster immersion, living and sleeping in fresh air – better than in the city. If not here, there's no live learning, you don't see the village itself, what's changing, what difficulties exist where. No proper planning meetings where you can get instant feedback. No constant buzz. In general, no vibe of a live marketing department that exists on-site.
• Remote work is not an option for the company's marketers because life within the project is very active. I used to think a few visits a week were enough, but in reality, with rare presence, you lose connection with colleagues and what's happening, important details are missed. A live project requires the same live dedication and momentum, therefore, remote work is not suitable for it at all.
