Senior IT Project Manager for the Discovery direction at Kinopoisk

Kinopoisk is one of the largest streaming services in Russia. Every day, millions of people watch movies, TV series, sports broadcasts, and other content on our service.

We are looking for an experienced project manager to help develop the Discovery direction. You will be responsible for creating and launching product scenarios that help millions of users choose what to watch — from the content showcase and search to personalized recommendations.

Discovery encompasses everything that helps a user choose a movie or series: the content showcase, search and navigation, movie and series pages, personalized recommendations, editorial tools, and social mechanics. Our team's work determines how millions of users find new content every day.

What tasks await you

Project Implementation You will turn ideas and concepts from business units into projects: formulate requirements, plan implementation stages, and bring initiatives to production.

Developing Discovery Scenarios You will develop existing and launch new content selection scenarios: service navigation, content showcases, movie and series pages, as well as editorial and marketing tools.

Product Research, Working with Metrics It is important to analyze user behavior, conduct research, and find opportunities to improve the user experience. You will define success metrics, launch A/B experiments, and seek opportunities for growth in product and business metrics.

Interaction with Teams You will work closely with analysts, designers, content managers, the licensing team, and the ML recommendations team.

Product Development Management You will manage the direction's backlog, create short-term and long-term development plans, and synchronize the work of different teams.

We expect that you

• Have worked in product or project management for at least five years
• Have launched product features or services from idea to production
• Are proficient in product analytics
• Possess systems thinking
• Can work in a cross-functional team and synchronize a large number of stakeholders

• Understand how ML recommendations work
• Have worked in content or entertainment services
• Have developed user scenarios for discovery or recommendations
