In L'Etoile, they are looking for a Stores Design Director who will be responsible for the appearance of the stores, the layout of the space, and the guest experience within the store.
Responsibilities:
Development of the chain's interior system:
- Development of store design principles;
- Development of store typologies for different formats;
- Creation and development of an interior design system;
- Formation of a solutions library for the chain.
Store design management:
- Assigning tasks to architects and designers;
- Working with external architectural bureaus;
- Making final decisions on the external appearance of stores.
Quality control of implementation:
- Participation in key design stages;
- Control of project compliance with concept and standards;
- Quality control of implemented spaces.
Physical store experience:
- Development of space as a tool for brand and sales;
- Working with architecture, interior, furniture, lighting, navigation, and visual communications;
- Improving all elements of the physical experience within the store, including minor environmental elements.
Team development:
- Identifying necessary competencies within the company;
- Participation in the selection of architects and designers;
- Forming a team capable of developing the chain's interior system.
Collaboration with other departments:
- Coordination of work with development, construction, marketing, and merchandising departments;
- Ensuring the integrity of the store space.
Authority:
- The Stores Design Director makes final decisions on the external appearance of the chain's stores;
- All key decisions affecting the store's interior and physical experience pass through them and require their approval;
- The Stores Design Director participates in the selection of architectural bureaus and design teams and forms the internal team responsible for developing the interior system;
- They have the right to reject or stop a project if the proposed solutions degrade the quality of the space or contradict the principles of the chain's design system.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in architecture, interior design, or retail design;
- Experience with commercial spaces (retail, restaurants, public spaces, showrooms);
- Experience managing projects from idea to implementation;
- Experience managing designers, architects, or project teams.
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with chain formats;
- Participation in the development of concepts for stores or public spaces;
- Experience working in architectural bureaus or brand design teams.
Competencies:
- Strong sense of taste and broad exposure;
- Understanding of how space influences brand perception and customer experience;
- Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for results;
- Ability to work with different teams within the company;
