Description
SberStrakhovanie's infrastructure team is looking for a Linux administrator to strengthen our team of Linux operating system administrators.
Responsibilities
- Administration, monitoring, configuration, and optimization of Linux servers;
- Configuration, control, and maintenance of procedures for automatic updates of Linux OS and system software;
- Identifying bottlenecks and optimizing the architecture of information systems;
- Participation in import substitution projects, OS selection. Emphasis on in-depth analysis of the operational fitness of OS from Russian vendors;
- Automation of routine tasks and access management related to the operation of Linux servers;
- Development and operation of web servers, traffic balancers, and FTP servers based on Linux servers.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Linux family operating systems (we use OEL and Ubuntu);
- Experience in operating configuration management systems (Ansible);
- Understanding of security for the Linux kernel and similar OS kernels;
- Excellent knowledge of the Linux network stack, confident use of network connection diagnostic utilities (ping, traceroute, mtr, nmap, netstat, tcpdump, dig, scp) and Linux firewalls (ufw/firewalld, iptables/nftables);
- Basic knowledge of monitoring systems Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus;
- Understanding of principles, experience in building fault-tolerant services and their maintenance (Nginx, HAproxy, Keepalived);
- Skills in working with security certificates (issuance/installation), understanding of SSL/TLS protocols;
- Confident command of bash / python for automating infrastructure tasks;
- Basic knowledge of SQL query formulation;
- Relevant technical education in IT specialty;
- Instrumental proficiency in AI for analysis, generation, and automation.
