AstraZeneca, a biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Director of Production.

Key Challenges and Responsibilities:
- Developing the strategy and organizational structure for the production unit, including the selection and development of a team of deputies (production, engineering, operational management).
- Defining the complex's production strategy in accordance with global company standards and GMP requirements.
- Ensuring production readiness for launch: setting scaling goals from pilot volumes to industrial scale, monitoring phased hiring timelines and capacity commissioning (in accordance with the FTE plan until 2029).
- Managing the production budget, approving key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitoring their achievement through line managers.
- Strategic interaction with the Quality Director, Supply Chain Management Director, and Technical Director on synchronizing production, engineering, and logistics plans.
- Representing the 'Production' function before the Executive Director and at the project localization management level.
- Overseeing the project localization process in terms of production activities through the Project Manager.
Candidate Profile:
- Higher technical or engineering education (chemical technology, pharmaceutical production, or related fields); an MBA will be an advantage.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Production Director or Head of Production unit, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical or another high-tech regulated industry.
- Experience in launching production 'from scratch' - from pilot volumes to industrial scale.
- Experience in forming and developing a management team.
- In-depth knowledge of GMP requirements.
- Experience in managing a production budget and setting KPIs.
- Experience in strategic interaction with other functional directors and representing the function to senior management.
