A Taxi Subsidies Efficiency Analyst is a key role, helping to directly exert a significant impact on the service's core metrics. After all, subsidies are an integral part of Taxi's daily operations. They enable, for example, maintaining a balance of supply and demand on the marketplace, so that every user who decides to order a taxi can get a ride at an affordable price, and every driver online can quickly receive an order and not sit idle.
Today, Taxi is rapidly developing not only in Russia but also internationally. Using subsidy mechanics, we are also growing new markets from scratch in different corners of the world. Each country has its own specifics, and we often face new problems and challenges that lead to generating and testing hypotheses—and, consequently, to the constant development of subsidy mechanics.
Developing the Taxi service in new markets You will develop the optimal strategy for using various subsidy mechanics to grow the service in new locations, taking into account their specifics. Equally important here is developing the direction of subsidy fraud control and prevention.
Improving existing mechanics and launching new ones For example: is it possible to develop an individual approach to subsidizing for each driver? You will develop the personalization direction—based on historical data, existing models, and collaboration with the ML team. To solve these tasks, you will need to design metrics and conduct numerous A/B tests in search of the most effective algorithms.
Maintaining balance How to optimize the use of subsidies in developed and developing markets? How to determine where, when, and how to enable subsidies so that passengers and drivers do not have a negative service experience? How to automate this process across hundreds of cities and dozens of countries? You will develop an internal product that allows solving such complex questions.
