The First Moscow Gymnasium is seeking a Director of the Russian Branch in Singapore (a startup from scratch).
The First Moscow Gymnasium, one of the oldest private schools in the Russian Federation, is opening an international campus in Singapore. They are looking for a leader who can build this project from the foundation to the first graduates. Starting in 2026, they will launch Russian education in Singapore in partnership with HWA International School. The goal is to provide Russian-speaking families with the opportunity to obtain a Russian diploma (FGOS) without compromising the quality of international education.
You will be responsible for creating everything from scratch: the legal structure, the educational process, the team, the logistics of attestation and state final exams abroad, and interaction with the Singaporean partner and Russian regulatory bodies.
Work Format:
- On-site — based at the HWA campus, integrating with local and international programs.
- Fully online — through its own certified platform with attestation and mentors.
- The vacancy involves relocation to Singapore or a hybrid format (resident in Singapore + management of online processes).
Key Responsibilities:
- Register the branch and establish all bureaucratic processes (affiliation, reporting, admission to exams at Rosobrnadzor points worldwide).
- Build the on-site program in collaboration with HWA International School: synchronize schedules, standards, and dual attestation.
- Launch and scale distance learning for students from anywhere in the world.
- Assemble and lead a teaching staff of experienced expert educators (at least first category).
- Organize annual interim attestation and preparation for OGE/EGE exams at Singaporean examination centers.
- Develop the brand and attract families for whom the Russian language and cultural code are values.
Who We Are Looking For:
- An experienced manager in education — with an understanding of FGOS, accreditation, and international programs.
- An entrepreneur and strategist — ready to act in conditions of uncertainty and build processes from scratch.
- Someone with experience working in an international environment (Singapore, Southeast Asia will be an advantage).
- A leader who can inspire a team and negotiate with partners at all levels.
Why This is Unique:
- A startup project supported by a strong Russian brand with a 25-year history.
- Work at the intersection of two educational systems — the Russian Federation and Singapore.
- The opportunity to influence strategy, not just execute.
- Solving a real problem for hundreds of families: preserving the language, diploma, and future of children.
- They are not looking for a "pure administrator." They need an architect who will build a school where it doesn't exist yet.
Apply with your resume. In your cover letter, describe how you envision the first year of the branch's operation in Singapore.
