We are looking for a Head of Research and Development! Responsibilities:

Product Development Management:

• Organization of the full cycle of cosmetic product development: from idea and brief to launch into production;
• Definition of development stages, control of task execution and deadlines;
• Management of the R&D project portfolio and prioritization.

Time and Result Management:

• Formation of realistic and achievable development deadlines for each project;
• Control of deadline adherence at all development stages;
• Regular reporting on project status and achievement of new product launch KPIs;
• Development of quality standards, control of product compliance (RF / other markets);
• Management of product dossiers, control of certification, control of batch identity.

Innovation and Trends:

• Search for new ingredients, technologies, and innovative solutions based on global cosmetic market trends;
• Development of the brand's competitive advantages through innovation;
• Work with 3-4 manufacturers (by category/price);
• Transfer of production without loss of quality;
• Assessment of the technical feasibility of new categories (decorative cosmetics, expansion of the skincare line);
• Analysis of competitor formulations and technological solutions on the market;

Laboratory and Research (key focus – eyebrow gels):

• Organization and development of laboratory functions at the quality department (warehouse) and own production base;
• Initial testing of raw materials and active ingredients, prototyping, comparative tests;
• Management of the network of technological partners: sites in the Russian Federation, private technologists, factories in China;
• Formation of technical requirements and briefs for external partners;
• Interaction with procurement specialists and product managers when working with China; personal participation in key approval stages;
• Interaction with our own production legal entity as a client.

Requirements:

• Experience in cosmetic product development for at least 5 years, including 2 years of managing an R&D team;
• Experience in building an R&D function from scratch;
• Successful cases of launching cosmetic products to the market;
• Deep understanding of cosmetic raw materials, formulations, and technological processes;
• Responsibility and result orientation, systemic thinking (processes, standards, documentation);
• Experience working with Chinese manufacturers, knowledge of EAEU requirements, technical regulations for cosmetics;
• Experience in organizing or working in a laboratory environment;
• Understanding of the specifics of the eyebrow segment (eyebrow gels);
• Experience in implementing PLM systems or building LCM processes.
