Technical Project Manager in Billing

Billing is Yandex's internal platform that helps services with monetization. Any high-profile launch of new products in Taxi, Direct, Lavka, Eda, on Market, Kinopoisk, Music, and other Yandex services involves integration with our platform. Every day we process about 100 million business events and transactions from all Yandex services and perform financial calculations for them.

What tasks await you

Project management and process development You will be responsible for the development and stability of the billing platform. You will need to work with the backlogs of Taxi, Direct, and Ads, solving numerous tasks and quickly switching between services.

Interaction with the development team You will closely interact with the development team, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and find product and technical solutions for launches within reasonable timeframes.

Communication with stakeholders and customers You will act as an expert for colleagues from related systems, helping them solve complex issues and providing necessary information.

We expect that you

• Have worked in IT systems as a project manager or product manager
• Are proficient in SQL or its dialects - can read and modify queries, work with Oracle DB
• Have directly assigned development tasks, monitored deadlines, assessed risks
• Have experience in validating and checking proposed solutions, estimates, and deadlines
• Have created or developed key project metrics
• Can work under uncertainty, manage stakeholder expectations, and speak with customers in business language
• Are capable of assessing automation goals and tasks from the customer's perspective and are ready to take responsibility for the result
• Can quickly find a common language with architects, developers, engineers
• Know how to explain complex technical tasks in simple terms

Will be a plus

• Can read Python code, can write simple scripts for automating routine tasks
• Have worked with products involving transactions, subscriptions, cashbacks, bonuses, and personal accounts
• Have implemented development processes, quality systems, delivery processes
• Have experience related to the design, creation, and implementation of various billing systems, ERP, CRM, or large custom systems in e-commerce, trade
• Understand IS design processes and principles of building microservice architecture
• Know programming languages (Python, Go)
