Remote Vacancy.
Online school Proryv is looking for a Director.
Proryv is a fast-growing EdTech project for teachers and tutors. They create educational products and AI tools that help specialists increase their income, gather groups, work effectively online, and automate routine tasks.
Why the vacancy is open:
- The company is entering a new growth phase: the owner is moving from operations to strategy and new directions, and is handing over the school's management to a director. This is not a newly created position for a trial run, but a conscious step for a mature business.
Who they are looking for:
- They are not looking for an "administrator of processes" or a "right-hand person to help out." They are looking for a director who will take the company as a whole – revenue, profit, team – and be responsible for the results with numbers.
- Your product as a director: a solvent and growing company. The revenue and profit plan is met, expenses are under control, funds are formed, the team is staffed and works without the owner's manual management.
- You will manage four areas: traffic, funnels, launches, product – through managers and key specialists. Where a manager is not yet in place, you will first cover the function yourself, then hire a strong person and hand over responsibility.
Reporting is directly to the owner. No intermediate levels.
What the role includes:
Money and Planning:
- You are responsible for meeting the company's revenue and profit plan – these are your two main metrics.
- You conduct financial planning: income, expenses, profitability, formation of funds (salary, development, security, taxes).
- Together with the owner, you create a strategic plan and a business development picture for the year, and decompose it into departmental plans for the month.
Daily Performance Management:
- Every morning – key statistics for all areas: registrations, attendance, conversions, leads, payments, CAC/ROMI.
- If you see a dip – you investigate the cause with the department head the same day and monitor the solution until results are achieved.
- You monitor the trend line for each department: if it's growing – support it, if it's stagnant or falling – intervene.
Launches and Marketing:
- You control the launch model: calendar of launches, promotions, and sales, decomposition of each launch, additional revenue after the event.
- You manage traffic ROI through the department head and contractors.
- You maintain the product line: key products, offers, affiliate sales.
Team:
- You hire and adapt top personnel: Head of Sales, Head of Traffic, Launch Producer, Leaders of new directions.
- Weekly coordination and department inspections using a checklist, monthly analysis with a plan for the month.
- Quarterly, you evaluate the effectiveness of each employee and make personnel decisions – including terminations. Efficiency benchmark: 500,000+ ₽ revenue per employee per month.
- You build a system: each position has a description, regulations, and clear performance-based motivation.
AI-native Management:
- They are building an AI-native company: Claude/GPT are integrated into marketing, analytics, hiring, and content. The Director sets this standard personally – uses AI in their processes and demands the same from the team.
Requirements:
- You have managed an online school or a department within one with revenue of 5 million ₽/month or more – in the role of Director, Executive/Operations Director, or Head of Launches with P&L responsibility. With verifiable numbers: revenue, profitability, dynamics.
- Information business economics is your native language. Funnels, webinar and launch model, CAC, traffic ROI, conversion of leads to paying customers (OP), customer lifetime value (LTV) of the database. At the interview, you will break down the unit economics of your last project from memory.
- You managed through heads of departments, not just by hand: you had a Head of Sales, traffic managers, producers/project managers reporting to you – a total of 10+ people.
- Hiring case study and termination case study. You hired top performers yourself and parted ways with those who couldn't keep up. You will tell both stories with consequences for the metrics.
- Working with the owner. You know how to be a second-in-command: take full responsibility, but align on strategy and don't build a "state within a state."
- GPT/AI in processes. You actively use AI in management and marketing – at the interview, you will demonstrate specific processes, not just "tried ChatGPT."
- Depth, not a series of short projects. In one company – 1.5+ years with increasing performance. Nomads with projects of 3-6 months are not considered.
- Info-biz/EdTech. Experience specifically in online education or expert products. Corporate management and e-commerce without info-biz is not suitable, even with strong titles.
KPI:
- Meeting the company's revenue plan.
- Meeting the profit and profitability plan.
- Additional: team staffing, efficiency per employee, trend line of directions.
What they offer:
- Performance-based income: 200,000–400,000 ₽ (fixed + % of profit). There is no strict upper limit – as the company's profit grows, so does your income.
- Real authority: budget, hiring and firing of top managers, management of all directions. The owner is handing over operations, not playing games.
- A profitable base, not a startup struggling to survive: working products, launches, a database, and a community – the largest community of tutors in Russia on Telegram.
- Direct work with the owner – strategic sessions, quick decisions. No bureaucracy or micromanagement: the company values trusting partnerships, not total control.
- AI-native environment: 2026-level tools in all processes – you will manage a company that operates faster than the market.
- Skolkovo resident, white and transparent agreements.
- Remote work with no city ties, if you want face-to-face interaction – office in Moscow.
Hiring Process:
- Apply with a cover letter: three key figures of your results (revenue/profit/dynamics) and one sentence – why this role.
- Interview with a recruiter (20–30 minutes).
- Interview with the owner.
- Test task: diagnosis based on real company figures + plan for the first 30 days.
- Offer.
