Makosh Production Company is looking for an Executive Director to take full operational control of the company: launch and stabilize production, build a management system, form a team, and achieve financial results.
Makosh is a Russian production company developing a full-cycle project for deep processing of technical hemp seeds. The production complex is located in the SEZ "Uzlovaya" (Tula Region). The company produces a line of food ingredients for the B2B and B2C markets: shelled hemp seeds, glazed seeds, pastes, cold-pressed oil, protein flour, fiber, and protein.
The company's advantages include its own production, quality control, product line development, and focus on the industrial food ingredients market.
This role is for a strong, hands-on leader. It's important not only to manage through the team but also to be personally involved in key issues during the business's establishment phase. Reporting directly to the owner.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the launch of the production site and its ramp-up to planned targets for output, quality, and deadlines
- Build operational management for all key functions: production, procurement, logistics, finance, sales, HR
- Organize a clear management system: organizational structure, areas of responsibility, regulations, KPIs, management accounting, budgeting, plan-fact analysis
- Manage P&L, cost of goods sold, cash cycle, and key financial indicators
- Synchronize production, sales, supply, and shipments
- Form and strengthen the team of functional leaders, build hiring, onboarding, and management discipline
- Ensure regular reporting to the owner and a transparent decision-making system
- Participate in shaping the business development strategy: product portfolio, priority markets, scaling stages
- Oversee compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements for production
Looking for:
A leader with real experience in managing a production business, who can combine strategic thinking with close operational involvement.
Required:
- At least 3 years of experience as an Executive Director, Operations Director, General Director, or First Deputy Director in a manufacturing company
- Experience managing P&L, a team of leaders, and end-to-end operational processes
- Proven experience launching production, bringing a site to capacity, or deeply transforming an existing enterprise
- Experience building a management system: structure, processes, management accounting, budgeting, KPIs, motivation
- Willingness to work at the site in the Tula Region, especially during the launch phase
- High level of independence, systematic approach, and responsibility for results
Advantageous:
- Experience in food production, food ingredients, agricultural raw material processing, FMCG
- Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, TR CU requirements
- Experience in companies at the launch or active scaling stage
- Experience in export sales or foreign economic activity (FEA)
- Experience working in SEZs, on investment or greenfield production projects
