My name is Kairat, and I dream of inventing the next generation of telecom. Together with the team, we are building it from scratch in Kazakhstan: fiber optics, 5G FWA, Wi-Fi, with MVNO on the horizon. We are challengers in a market that has been dominated by two classic telecom operators for decades, and I won't claim that our path ahead is crystal clear. Freedom Telecom's personal mission is the cheapest delivered gigabyte in the world.
What you will do:
- Capital raising: preparing for rounds, due diligence, working with funds/banks/investors, deal structuring;
- End-to-end financial strategy and model: FP&A, unit economics (CAC/LTV/ARPU/churn), scenario planning, cash/CAPEX forecasting;
- Treasury, liquidity, and working capital in the investment phase;
- Management and financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS — a single source of truth for the CEO, Board of Directors, and investors;
- Leading the finance department (~60 people: accounting, FP&A, treasury, corporate finance, reporting, risks);
- Transitioning the finance function to AI.
What is important in a candidate:
- Experience as CFO / Finance Director, preferably in tech and/or in a high-growth phase;
- Proven fundraising and investor relations experience;
- Startup environment, building processes and financial models from scratch manually: FP&A, unit economics, treasury, controlling, US GAAP / IFRS;
- English B2;
- Strategic thinking, ownership, courage to defend financial logic to founders;
- Mandatory – AI skills: daily work in Claude / Claude Cowork / Replit, vibe coding, independent model and dashboard building, implementing AI in reporting and analytics.
