Remote Vacancy.
Yandex Crowd is seeking a Marketing Director for Neural Network Training.
Your task is to mentor a neural network at a strategic level. We need your management and consulting experience to help the model learn to think from a business perspective, not just as an executor: to calculate economics, see the big picture, and build solutions from problem definition to a roadmap. You will design the benchmark logic of reasoning, identify weaknesses in strategies, and improve the quality of the model's decisions.
The team understands that diving into the nuances of IT products takes too much time. Therefore, we have organized the process so that you can focus on tasks within your profile: strategy, analytics, and auditing business decisions. You don't need to understand code or manually configure algorithms – you act as a strategist, and the team integrates your knowledge into the model's logic.
Your tasks will include:
- Developing exemplary strategies: you will define the structure for solving complex business problems. The model needs to understand how a product goes to market (GTM), how to build market sizing, or how to construct an enterprise's anti-crisis strategy. You will create a step-by-step reasoning algorithm by which the neural network learns to provide not general advice, but a strategy that can be presented to the board of directors.
- Identifying errors in the model's responses: neural networks sometimes offer unviable solutions and substitute clichés for analysis. You will need to: eliminate logical gaps in the strategy – from problem definition to financial justification, determine the criticality of errors – from incorrect mission formulation to wrong growth strategy choices leading to business losses, verify the application of frameworks (SWOT, 5 forces, JTBD, market sizing) and the correctness of business logic – replacing elegant but empty constructs with solutions that consider the market, resources, and limitations.
- Comparing responses (Side-by-Side): you will compare several response options to a single query: in which response is the strategy more deeply developed and based on realistic assumptions, not generalities? Where did the model more accurately assess risks and propose a workable roadmap with priorities? Your choice and argumentation will serve as a benchmark for the model – it will learn to distinguish superficial advice from a strategy that can withstand investor defense.
Example tasks:
- "Sales of trucks by an official dealer are declining. Come up with ways to promote and grow sales, consider entering a neighboring region – using only free tools."
- "Propose a gamification strategy and a loyalty program for a stand-up event organizer: reward types, implementation steps, effectiveness metrics, and risks."
- "You are launching a streaming platform in a competitive market. What steps will you take to attract streamers to your platform instead of them staying on others?"
- "There are plans to open a legal business. Research how many legal organizations are in the area and in what fields, and find an open niche for me."
- "Analyze the marketing tasks of a large company through the lens of AI capabilities and create a map of 3–5 effective application points for LLMs."
Requirements:
- Worked in strategic consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy Partners, Yakov and Partners, B1) or in a CMO, Head of Marketing, or strategic leadership role for at least 3 years.
- Have a total experience of 7+ years and have launched a product or business from scratch (GTM), not just managed an established brand.
- Fluent in business frameworks: SWOT, 5 forces, market sizing, JTBD at a strategic level.
- Calculate unit economics and P&L, not just marketing metrics.
- Have built strategies for different types of businesses: B2B, B2C, platforms, and marketplaces.
- As a plus: hold an MBA degree, have cross-industry experience, and have cases with measurable growth in market share or revenue.
To work in the team, you will need:
- A computer with Windows 10 or macOS version 12 or higher.
- A smartphone or tablet with Android 10 or iOS 15.0 or higher.
- A stable internet connection with a speed of at least 20 Mbps.
- A quiet workspace where no one will disturb you.
What we offer:
- Full-time or part-time employment from 10 hours per week.
- Employment contract registration.
- Remote work.
- Flexible schedule that you create yourself. The main thing is to complete tasks, meet deadlines, and be available during working hours.
- Opportunities for growth and development.
- Discounts from partners and on Yandex products
