Head of WineWood Guide / Media & Partnerships Director
WineWood Moscow is launching a new strategic product — WineWood Guide.
This is not just social media or another content project. We are building a new type of urban wine guide: with editorial logic, expert reviews, its own rating system, a partner network, and a festival agenda.
Our ambition is to become one of the centers of wine life in Moscow and the Moscow region, and the project slogan is: Wine Moscow starts here.
We are looking for not a post executor, but a product owner who will bring together the media, partnerships, reputation capital, and commercial potential of the project.
What you will do
- Launch and head the WineWood Guide as an independent media and partnership product within the WineWood Moscow ecosystem
- Formulate the editorial concept of the project: sections, formats, tone, criteria for selecting venues, logic of reviews
- Create and implement a rating system for wine venues — internal methodology, standards, checklists, awarding and annual confirmation of glasses
- Organize content production for Instagram and Telegram:
- on-site reviews of wine venues in Moscow and the Moscow region
- routes from WineWood / hotel
- expert selections
- city wine guides
- festival and thematic special projects
- Coordinate review participants: WineWood head sommeliers, venue sommeliers, invited experts, PR managers, project guests
- Build partnerships with restaurants, bars, wine shops, wine events, brands, and gastronomic festivals
- Transform media reach into:
- increased recognition of WineWood as a wine hub
- traffic to WineWood projects
- partner integrations
- special projects and commercial formats
- Manage an external team and contractors: editor, content producer, video/editing, designer, photographer, PR and partnership executors
- Develop project KPIs, budget, launch calendar, and development roadmap
- Ensure a balance between editorial independence and commercial effectiveness
What is important to us
We are looking for someone who can simultaneously think like:
- product lead — sees the system, not just individual posts
- editor / media producer — understands how trust and regular content are built
- brand strategist — understands how an influence institute is built
- partnerships / business development lead — knows how to enter the market and negotiate
- operational leader — brings an idea to regular and high-quality execution
Candidate expectations
- Experience launching or developing media, editorial, lifestyle, hospitality, or cultural projects
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: premium hospitality, gastronomy / wine industry, lifestyle media, special projects / brand media, partnership marketing / collaborations
- Ability to build a content system, not just create individual news items
- Experience managing contractors, authors, production, and partnership processes
- Strong skills in packaging ideas, presentation, and negotiation
- Understanding of how to combine reputational goals and monetization
- Broad vision, taste, high level of cultural and visual sensitivity
Will be a big plus
- Experience in the restaurant, wine, or hotel industry
- Connections in the gastronomic and lifestyle scene of Moscow
- Experience launching author's guides, ratings, festivals, media collaborations
- Understanding of the specifics of Telegram and Instagram as media, not just advertising channels
- Skill in building a strong expert framework around a brand
What to understand in advance
This role is not about "managing social media." It's about creating a new institute of influence around WineWood Moscow.
This requires a person who can answer the questions:
- why should the guide inspire trust;
- on what principles does it evaluate venues;
- how to maintain authority while having commercial partnerships;
- how to turn market attention into a long-term brand asset.
What will be the result of work in the first 6 months
- Formulated concept of WineWood Guide
- Approved rating methodology and criteria for awarding glasses
- Launched channels and a regular editorial schedule
- First strong reviews and city routes
- A pool of partner venues and industry contacts
- A clear development model: media, partnerships, festivals, special projects
- Increased perception of WineWood as a notable wine hub in Moscow
We offer
- The opportunity to build a new strategic product from scratch
- Direct influence on the reputational and market positioning of WineWood Moscow
- Work at the intersection of hospitality, wine, media, brand, and the city's cultural agenda
- A high degree of trust and space for initiative
- A team with strong ambition and real infrastructure for launch
- Conditions are discussed individually depending on the candidate's level and engagement format
Application format
In your cover letter, please briefly answer 3 questions:
- Why, in your opinion, can such a guide become influential in Moscow?
- Where is the line between independent assessment and commercial partnership?
- What 3 formats would you launch in the first 90 days?
