We are looking for a strong HRD for our team in Sakhalin.

VGK is the largest coal mining holding in Sakhalin and one of the largest Russian exporters of brown coal to the Asia-Pacific region. We have digital production twins, our own PULSE system, real-time analytics, automation, and AI – these are our working tools 💻

Here, HR work directly impacts production: whether people come to work for a shift, whether the equipment will work, whether the managers will cope, and whether the business will meet its plan.

We are launching projects that are changing the company and even the industry a bit. The "Girls Rule" project with a 130-ton pink BelAZ – is ours 💗 It won gold at the HR-brand Award 2025 and the Grand Prix at the Employer Branding Awards 2026.

Who are we looking for?

A strong HRD with experience in:

• building an HR function from scratch or deep transformation
• working with production/manual labor staff
• building systems for motivation, evaluation, and corporate culture
• managing payroll costs, budgets, and HR metrics efficiency
• implementing large-scale changes – quickly, flexibly, and effectively

To be honest upfront: it won't be easy. The pace is high, there are many tasks, and results are needed quickly. But the scale here is something rarely encountered in HR 🚀

The role involves relocating to Shakhtarsk. The company fully assists with the relocation of the employee and their family. And Sakhalin is the ocean, hills, incredible nature, and a completely different life 🌊
