The SelfEmployed.rf platform team is looking for an Operations Director.
SelfEmployed.rf is a payroll platform (SaaS) that simplifies interaction between employers and self-employed individuals. The platform automates checking the self-employed status against FNS databases, onboarding, electronic document management, payments, and much more. It is an official partner of the FNS and has been operating since 2019.
We are looking for a hands-on Executive Director / COO for a fintech / platform business. The main task is to increase efficiency, control expenses, strengthen business functions, and help the company grow without inflating the structure and costs.
Your Role / Responsibilities:
- Oversee sales, service, product, and operations simultaneously
- Work with development and product through business priorities
- Maintain a compact core team without a heavy management layer
- Dive into processes hands-on and ensure execution
- Make quick decisions in an environment of high speed and uncertainty
What's Important:
- Strong understanding of finance: P&L, cash flow, unit economics
- Experience in domains: fintech / B2B SaaS / payroll / marketplace / platform businesses
- Ability to maintain the system as an operator / business integrator
- Systemic approach, speed of decision-making, stress resistance
- Readiness for pressure, difficult conversations, and high context density
Who we are definitely NOT looking for:
- A corporate manager accustomed to long approval processes, a large middle management layer, and a role "above processes"
- A strategist without a hands-on function — someone who manages only through a layer of managers
We need a hands-on operator:
- Who works calmly in high speed and uncertainty
- Who has no problem getting hands-on with processes
- Who can maintain a compact, strong team
- Who understands business, SaaS product, service, and finance simultaneously
- With experience in crises, business stabilization, operational discipline, and working in a founder-led environment
Main Working Conditions:
- Moscow, hybrid format (metro station Ploshchad Revolyutsii)
- Salary + bonuses after the probationary period. An option is also possible upon achieving agreed-upon metrics.
