For the educational company Sciencely, we are looking for a Commercial Director.
Sciencely (formerly "Umnaya Moskva") is an educational project that is rethinking the study of natural sciences for children. The team makes chemistry, physics, biology, and medicine understandable, visual, and truly engaging for children from different cities and countries.
Over 12 years, we have become one of the most prominent brands of children's science popularization in Russia — and we continue to grow. Our current task is to scale existing products, launch new formats, and build a sustainable growth system.
Context:
Sciencely has strong product expertise and high-quality products — but distribution does not yet match their potential. They are looking for someone to change this. The goal is to increase the company's revenue by 30–50% annually.
In the first year, you will combine three roles: Commercial Director, Marketing Director, and Sales Director. You have a marketing team of 4 people — you need to develop it. There is practically no sales team — it needs to be built from scratch.
Key Tasks:
- Formulate a commercial strategy and take responsibility for revenue
- Build a sales department: hiring, processes, tools, KPIs
- Lead the marketing team, set direction and priorities
- Establish marketing analytics — from attribution to unit economics
- Continuously generate and test growth hypotheses: new channels, mechanics, audiences, offers — and quickly draw conclusions from the results
- Develop current attraction channels (influencers, SMM, email, partnerships) and launch new ones based on data, not intuition
What is important in your experience:
- Experience in a role combining marketing and sales. Experience in EdTech and education in general will be an additional advantage.
- Ability to build sales from scratch, not just manage an existing team
- Practical expertise in performance and content marketing, understanding of low-budget channels
- Culture of experimentation: you can quickly generate hypotheses, test them, and are not afraid of mistakes on the path to results
- Strong analytical foundation: you can build reporting and make data-driven decisions
- Experience of growth in a scale-up stage company will be a plus

- Formal employment according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, fully "white" salary
- Annual bonuses, the amount of which depends on the company's results.
