Yandex is looking for a Data Center Director.
The Yandex Corporate Data Center (DC) ensures the uninterrupted operation of all services within the ecosystem. The DC operates as a separate legal entity controlled by Yandex and is located in Sasovo. The task is to construct, modernize, and continuously support the operation of the DC's engineering infrastructure for Yandex's internal business units.
What your tasks will be:
- Interaction with DC employees and relevant Yandex structural units: You will form, update, and control compliance with local DC regulations governing its operations in accordance with Russian Federation legislation.
- Participation in the development of solutions related to the DC's investment and operational activities, evaluating them from the perspective of compliance with the charter, Russian Federation legislation, and local DC regulations.
- Participation in the development of design and technological solutions, selection of suppliers and contractors, and agreement and conclusion of contracts and agreements with them.
- Control over compliance with contract terms: volumes, schedules, results, payments, as well as acceptance of work results and executive documentation, and completion of commissioning tests (PNR).
- Assistance in forming the staffing structure, hiring key employees, controlling labor discipline, and regulating labor relations.
- Control over reporting, conducting business correspondence with contractors and government bodies, performing representative functions, and conducting negotiations.
Requirements:
- Hold a higher education degree (technical, civil engineering, legal, financial, or management)
- Have at least ten years of work experience in production, construction, design, civil service, or project management (consulting, engineering, operations)
- Have managed a team of ten or more people
- Possess a broad outlook and be willing to master new areas of activity
- Be able to build dialogue and find solutions for complex tasks
