About the Team
Avito Travel is a leading service in one of the fastest growing markets in Russia. We have assembled the largest database of tourist accommodation in the country: apartments, rooms, houses, and hotels. Currently, the platform offers more than 500,000 options for daily rentals across the country, all connected directly — without partnerships or intermediaries. For 75% of property owners, Avito is the primary source of bookings. In addition to private properties, we offer our users a choice of more than 19,000 hotels.
Our goal is to make short-term property rental the primary way to travel across Russia. To achieve this, we need to make searching and booking accommodation transparent, fast, and secure. We must ensure the quality of properties listed on Avito, guarantee financial security for both parties, provide guests with occupancy guarantees, and offer property insurance for landlords.
We have already come a long way in this direction and are now in an active growth phase.
Your responsibilities will include:
- organizing interaction between different functions to achieve key business metrics;
- managing projects aimed at growing Avito Travel's financial performance and market share;
- managing and developing the team of business stream leaders and managers;
- decomposing strategic and annual category goals into operational roadmaps and OKRs for the BizDev team of the direction;
- leading and taking responsibility for achieving annual goals (GMV, revenue, EBITDA of Avito Travel) with minimal top-down control;
- proposing initiatives to address gaps in the current business and taking responsibility for their implementation;
- personally leading the most complex projects within the business direction;
- organizing the launch of new products (fintech, loyalty programs, quality standards);
- improving the efficiency of work with external partners.
We expect that you:
- have at least 5 years of experience working in a large-scale technology business;
- have at least 3 years in leadership positions within business development, operations functions;
- have experience managing a strong team of leaders;
- have been responsible for business metrics and the full P&L of a business unit/category/product;
- have expertise in financial analysis, can build forecasts and budgets, analyze customer segments and user cohorts, etc.;
- have managed major projects — prioritized projects, developed roadmaps, decomposed them into tasks, defined success criteria;
- understand product management technology and processes;
- possess strong stakeholder management skills;
- are result-oriented.
